Governor Thaddius Fenton
SUMMARY
Thaddius Fenton is a short, portly human male who is over 1000 years and is called the Governor by most. No one knows how or why he is so old, but just about every rumor is out there. The Governor sits at top of the Board of Directors of the Old World Trading Company, a successor to the once mighty Old West Trading Company. He is arguably the second most powerful person on Grahmbraid Island.
Thaddius Fenton was a SVP (low tier rank 4) of the Old West Trading Company before Kol was covered by the Murk. At that time he volunteered to colonize the "Untamed East." This gave him experience with maintaining a sound naval fleet and claiming undeveloped lands. It also made him very rich and powerful, very quickly. When the Murk came, he was considered by the Old West Trading Company's Board as the most capable leader for the Matriarch's mission to resettle in the Xymut Seas. The Board just didn't expect this mission to end up being the only one that worked.
The Governor is a remarkably capable caster and warrior. He seems to exhibit mastery of both sorcerer and warlock skills. He is especially adapt at magicks that manipulate life and death. The Governor is known for killing hundreds in battle with his combination of undead thralls and stinking, poisonous clouds. While a skilled practitioner of magic, his abilities took off after a mission he personally lead an excavation team deep into the Worm Peaks. He and the team made it deep enough to discover Malthor's Pouch, but were forced to turn back immediately. They did manage to find some powerful items and artifacts. Supposedly Governor Fenton kept one particular artifact for himself.
