Session 7 Recap

The Dent held true to his word and did not attack the party for six hours.  However, he did NOT leave them alone for the six hours.  Rather, he sent several dire wolves which he had enthralled to keep tabs on the party.  He had not counted on the wolf-whisperer bunny that was Hoppah.

Hoppah utilized the power of Animal Friendship to effectively seduce 9 dire wolves into pacificity  as the Dent went off into the night, covered in a magical shroud of darkness. Jove then took a watch during which the 9 wolves made him their plaything.  He almost finished his two hours unscathed, but did take some very slight damage from roughhousing with the wolves.  Aspen took the remainder of the watch, which was completely uneventful until the return of the Dent at the end of the sixth hour.

With no true option for escape, the party fought the Dent, but not before Griss attempted to coerce him into leaving of his own free will.  In using magical persuasion, Griss detected that the Dent used up some resource to resist Griss’s power.  Griss made two further attempts, and while The Dent did not flee, he did detect that his resolve was waning (his three legendary resistances were expended).

The remainder of the party hammered on the Dent, dealing substantial damage to his current corporeal form.  When he was nearly dead, Griss once more drove power into his voice, telling The Dent, “Why don’t you just go on home now, ya hear?” Having no further ability to resist the compelling lure of Griss’s voice, The Dent did precisely that.  Frustrated, and with a clear desire to exact revenge at a later date, he flew off into the night, but not before asking what name should go on their execution notices.  The party replied merely, “Salvos.”

Jove plays with 9 enchanted dire wolves while the party sleeps

The party elected to continue onward toward the Rusty Pick in Bryn to meet up with what they presumed would be representatives of the Thieves Guild.  En route to Bryn, most of the party took a break and watched in apprehension as Hoppah re-entered a previously scouted guard tower.  Hoppah showed the world that he was not merely a druid - he was the foremost lagomorphic demolitions expert this side of the Void.

The session ended, and the party travels on toward Bryn
