Teric "The Hornet" Freewood
SUMMARY
Teric is a rogue and wizard halfling who is a member of the Plati Khulda. His status as a wizard made outside of the Void Cult is noted by many. There are no other known wizards expect Teric and those from the Void Cult.
The rogue was taken in by a retired alchemist and artificer of the Luminous Cloud, a gnome named Stan Fabenforth. Though Teric felt the love of his adoptive father and his family there. He fell into the thieves' guild at a young age.
The halfling is also covered in scars from all the times his lucked has saved him. The rogue used this luck to his and the PCs' advantage when negotiating contracts with Governor Fenton. He also used it to save himself from a frost worm and to stalk the Worm Mage. Teric was an orphan as a child and has always been hard to pin down. He prefers to live a homeless and wandering lifestyle. He's always on the move to find "more" and never wants to be found (or endanger his family more than his work already does).
The orphan turned rogue sleeps with his back to the wall and all of his possessions in has arms, so this isn't too surprising. Teric also can find it difficult to make friends. He speaks bluntly and combined with his teasing, it can be a bit much for folks. He always seems to find a way back to "home" and Bam. The halfling has a heart of gold though. He wants nothing more than to save a childhood best friend, Sara, from "everything shitty in this place." He hopes to get her somewhere away from the Murk and everything dangerous about Kol. Right now, Teric strongly believes that only a mighty spell, like teleportation, could save her. Therefore he is currently looking for a tuning fork attuned to another plane. Every penny he makes that doesn't go towards finding a way out of here goes towards helping the orphanage he once called home.
MURKHOLLOW CAMPAIGN
Teric is seemingly investigating something and knows more than he leads on to. He currently has managed to be invited to two separate, secret missions where nobles are offering enormous rewards worth up to hundreds of thousands in gold. Both missions seem to be tied to the Forest of Dolls. One mission has also led him to meet a two harengons. They intrigue him because they do not seem to be from Kol, with one (Jove) admitting as such. While the gold from these missions would be helpful, he wonders if some plot or even these harengon might prove more useful to him.
